What started out as a perfect life together soon turned into a troubled marriage and a fight to survive. Steven turned to drinking to keep him balanced. He would work all day and night trying to provide for his family. Marianne insisted on being home to raise their son, even if it meant he had to work two jobs to pay the bills. It was at one of those jobs that he met another woman. Jenna Green was young, vibrant, an insatiable red head. The affair would go on for a year before steven was gone.
Marianne was devastated that things had gone from great to terrible in such a short time. She blamed herself for the betrayal, turning to alcohol herself to cope. Noah was twelve. He learned at a very young age to take care of himself. His mother would jump from job to job just trying to keep the lights on and a bottle in the freezer. Noah threw himself into activity possible to avoid being around his mother. It was toxic for him, and he was a reminder to her what she had lost.
Noah did baseball, boy scouts, worked odd jobs, and got into fight after fight. Instead of being able to talk out his issues, he took it out on the bullies at school. He spent his fair share of time in detention. When he was near the end of high school, he had to decide: was he going to college and move away, or stay around and try to help his mother as best he could. As much as he couldnt stand being around her, he wasnt ready to leave.
noah attended community college with no true direction. He spent most of his time working to help provide for himself, and make sure that he mother didnt starve or freeze to death. It took noah a few years to get his life together and figure out his future. At that point he had made it into a university and was looking at a career in the air force. He had to get a clean slate from the life he grew up in. he wanted to do something with his life, even if it might be dangerous.
A future that started as an escape quickly became an obsession. He threw himself in 100% without looking back. After excelling in basic training, he found his calling in the tactical air control party. It was his opportunity to take care of others that not only were grateful, but quickly became his loving family. Ten years and multiple tours later, noah was returning to the place he once called home. It was a hard adjustment back in to society. Noah took up odd jobs; private security, bouncing, bartending, anything to pay the bills. Nowadays hes just trying to live a normal life. He speaks with his mother every now and again but is trying his best to stay away from the drama.
