Milanea was the second child and first daughter of William and Norma ROake. The Roake family has been been loving, kind, caring and sometimes loud. Her father was a Boston PD Detective and her mother was a housewife. They raised their two children to love, live and laugh. There was never an opportunity that their parents didnt encourage them to go after. They always taught their kids to shoot for the stars and beyond. Mila was always a creative girl. she loved spending hours and hours in the kitchen with her mother. she loved helping to make dinner, lunch, cakes, treats and everything in between. Mila was always a very smart girl but never had any interest in academics. she was more focused on exploring the world and making friends. She knew she has the capacity to be whatever the wanted, so why rush? By the time she had reached high school she was the girl everyone wanted to be friends with. Mila was the kind of girl that wore her heart on her sleeve. She wasn’t afraid to fall in love because of the possibilities it held.
Her parents never had to worry about mila. They knew she had a good head on her shoulders and would do the right thing. She could have gone to any college in the us but decided to stay close to home and go to boston college. Mila wanted to make her parents proud and do something amazing with her life. She had always had a love for cooking, and wanted to open her own restaurant. The problem was she knew everything about cooking and nothing about running a business; so she decided that business would be the perfect major for her. She continued to excel both academically as well as socially. She joined a sorority, moved in with her friends, and fell in love. Dylan Hannegan was everything she wanted in a partner: supportive, funny, loving, and a sight for sore eyes. They met their junior year and it seemed like nothing else mattered. Yes, she had big dreams of her own. But with him, she didn’t have to worry about anything. They were young and swept up in love.
By the time they had graduated, they were moving in together. She thought that he was the one. They both had big dreams of their own, and they supported and loved each other. Everything changed when she found out she was pregnant. They weren’t ready to be parents yet. Mila was scared, lost, and didn’t even tell her parents until she was almost due. She didn’t want them to think she was another unwed mother whose dreams were done for. Mila and Dylan welcomed their son davis in October of 2012. As much as she and alex tried to make It work, they were pulling apart at the seams. Little fights turned into screaming matches. They stress of it all was too much for their relationship to handle. Just after davis turned a year old they were splitting up. Mila moved in with her brother, devastated with the destruction of her family. He was really her rock through the whole thing. it took a few months of tears before she could stand on her own two feet again.
Mila knew that she needed to support her son, and herself. She wasn’t ready to start her own business yet, but she was ready to start cooking again. While walking with her son she noticed a ‘baker wanted’ sign in front of a small bakery. She went in, applied, and soon after was back in the kitchen. No, she wasn’t professionally trained or a culinary master. But her mother had taught her enough to start her down the right path. It did take her some time but she finally got back on her feet and got a two bedroom apartment for her and davis. She and Dylan share custody, but it’s okay on a good day. Most of the time they are either at each others last nerve or back in love. Dylan is her kryptonite. She never knows whats going to happen around him. Right now her focus is on her son.
MILA is very family-oriented. She has dinner with her parents and brother every Sunday, and most of the time davis is with her. dylan is very understanding about the importance of family to her. Mila has a very free spirit personality. She is pretty calm (unless dylan is involved). Shes down to earth and a bit on the boho side. She loves her son more than anything in the world, and supports whatever thing he is into. She wants him to grow up the way she did. She loves to laugh, have fun, and explore. Though shes a mother she still loves to cut loose and party with her friends every once in a while. For now though, shes a mommy first.
